How to extract a PDF table

  1. Select the table

Choose a PDF page and define the table region and column boundaries.

  2. Correct the grid

Review the extracted cells and correct rows, columns and values.

  3. Export Excel or CSV

Download the reviewed table as Excel or CSV.

Before you save

  • Use a PDF up to 100 MB and 200 pages. Each table is limited to 150 rows, 30 columns and 1,500 displayed cells.
  • Extraction uses selectable text from one page region. Scans need OCR first. Merged cells, multiline rows and complex tables may require manual correction.
  • XLSX cells are saved as literal strings. CSV formula-like values are protected with an apostrophe; no formulas or original spreadsheet formatting are reconstructed.

Questions about table extraction

Does this recreate the original spreadsheet?

No. It exports the selected table values after your review. Formulas, charts, number formats and workbook structure are not recovered.

Can extracted text execute spreadsheet formulas?

XLSX values are literal string cells. Formula-like CSV values are prefixed with an apostrophe to keep them as text.
